Event Description:
Word play is delightful and stimulating. To energize the flow of writing, participants focus on process through basic examples and fun exercies, which bulldoze writer's block. And build a supply of relevant words: strong sensory ones; for metaphors, simple words (4 letters, not 14); vibrant verbs. Join great writers in creating words for emphasis, contrasts, and clarity. In rewriting, eliminate powerless words and replace with picturesque, positive choices. For sentences, arrange word placement to empower statements. Through edit sheets, writers study subtle differences in pejorative words and listen to alliteration, repetition, and rhythm to enhance paragraphs.
