Friday, June 23rd at 4pm next to the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club (310 6th Ave. N, Edmonds.)

Join the City of Edmonds and partners for a special ribbon cutting and grand opening of Civic Center Playfield and Mika's Playground!

There will be activities, food trucks and fun for all ages through out the 8 acre park!  Participate in games on the sports field with Sno-King Youth Club, check out the new skate park with Skate Like a Girl, be the first to play on Mika’s Inclusive Playground, enjoy live music and art, and learn to play Pétanque or pickleball on the new courts.

The Hazel Miller Pollinator Meadow will be the site of demonstrations from Edmonds Discovery Programs, Sound Salmon Solutions, and Backyard Habitat, teaching attendees about the different pollinators in Washington State.
Bring a blanket to picnic in the park with food vendors Flyin’ Taco, Dirty Dog Hot Dog, Pop-N-Tyme Kettle Korn, Kool Kidz Ice Cream, and Rowlee Hawaiian Style Shave Ice.

The Civic Center Playfield Master Plan embraces the potential of this downtown park to contribute to a sense of community identity and civic pride while promoting active, healthy lifestyles, energizing the local economy and bolstering the city's growing reputation as a destination on Puget Sound. The legacy of the park as an iconic place for gathering, celebration and enhanced daily life is intended to serve Edmonds for generations to come.
