"Economic Development in Edmonds"

There are four different approaches to Economic Growth and Development. And they serve different purposes and produce different Outcomes. And some are better at building community cohesion than others.

For example: There is a Difference between Economic Development that is  Expansive/Extractive versus Economic/Ecological.

Ecological Economic Development results in better communities to live in, a firmer tax base to reduce boom and bust cycles, and predictable revenues for maintaining a solid businesses and community services. It also raises home values by attracting people and businesses to move here and/or to stay. It improves the ecology context and makes a healthier ecosystem. It retains the uniqueness of a place. In other words, it promotes caring more than counting.

Learn how to tell the difference as planning,  policy-making and budget allocation processes are considered and what it takes to have a great town with valued services, beauty everywhere and strong businesses that support our town. It starts with a very different set of premises.
