The featured show at Gallery North for the month of November is “Thank You, Mr. Monet” a collection of paintings, Silk scarves, and jewelry by Lonni R. Flowers. Ms. Flowers has been a Gallery North member artist for several years and is known for her love of color, working in watercolor, acrylic, silk, colored pencil, and jewelry. Lonni paints a wide range of subjects focusing on the beauty of the natural world with an impressionistic style inspired by French Impressionist painter, Claude Monet.
“I love to watch a painting develop into a picture through the various layers of paint, often being surprised to discover impressions that I didn’t know were there when I began the process,” says Ms. Flowers.
The artist reception for “Thank You, Mr. Monet” will be on Sunday, November 4th, from 1- 4 pm at Gallery North. The public is invited to come see the art, meet the artist Lonni R. Flowers, and enjoy refreshments. Lonni also will be present at Gallery North during Art Walk Edmonds on November 15th 5 -8 pm. Attendees will be invited to enter a free drawing for a tote bag with the image of Ms. Flowers’ painting, “Fanciful Floral”. The exhibit will be open to the public daily through November 30th.
