Gallery North announces "Colorful Movements" an exhibit highlighting the work of artist Lena Leitzke. Lena is known for her artistic diversity. She paints everything from intricate miniatures created with the use of a magnifying glass, to large-scale impressionistic works that are rich with the texture of the paint, to unique mixed-media abstracts. Across all mediums and styles, her works are connected by a sense of movement and vibrant color. Lena’s exuberant energy is infused into all her work. Her vivid colors dance as she captures the joy of her life in paint.
Lena Leitzke is an award-winning artist and member of several Seattle-area galleries. Her work has been featured in many juried shows across the United States. As a self-taught artist, Lena enjoys experimenting and painting in different media without limiting herself to a specific style. Lena enjoys connecting with people through her artwork. Her inspiration comes from those who love her art, and their appreciation keeps her painting.
Gallery North invites you to meet Lena Leitzke at the reception for "Colorful Movements” on Sunday, April 8, from 1 to 4 PM at Gallery North. The artist also will be present during Art Walk Edmonds on Thursday, April 19, 5 to 8 PM. This exhibit is open to the public daily through April 30.
